This is the undeveloped land for our first European data center located in Offenbach Germany, notably named FRA1. We are exporting our hyperscale data centers in anticipation GDPR and other data sovereignty laws will move data from the US back to their respective countries. That’s ok with us because we know how to build them big and FRA1 will be the largest construction project in Germany.
Building a hyperscale data center in anticipation of GDPR and other data sovereignty laws proved to be a wise move, as it will allow us to serve customers who require their data to be stored locally, while also ensuring compliance with local regulations.
